Our Pittville History Works project made the national news today with an article in the Sunday Times about communities who are creating online archives to unlock the history of their streets. The article features 6 Evesham Road, where a blue plaque commemorating Dr Grace Billings, Cheltenham’s first woman GP, was unveiled last year.

Our Plant Sale on Saturday 21 May was a great success, raising nearly £390 for Friends of Pittville funds and over £120 for the new play area. Many thanks to everyone who contributed. Here are some photos from the day.
Following a successful preview day for invited school children, the new play area in Pittville Park will be open to the public from noon this Friday. It may get very busy over the coming weekend and half term holiday!
Our Plant Sale on Saturday 21 May will be going ahead despite the wet weather forecast. All the stalls will be under cover, so please come along and pick up some bargains. We will be at the Scout Hut opposite the café in Central Cross Drive from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. Plants will be supplied by Dundry and Hoo House nurseries and by Cheltenham Horticultural Society and Friends of Pittville members, and proceeds will go to the new play area and to Friends of Pittville funds.. There will also be a Butterfly Garden stall, seed planting for children, a gardening book stall and a raffle.
