Before the coronavirus crisis brought a temporary end to Green Space Volunteer working parties it had been possible to begin the replanting of the rockery. There are now flowering and other ornamental shrubs and plants, many with lovely scent, on the play area side and 3 new larger shrubs on the other side. The remainder of the planting will now have to wait until the autumn. It was also possible to make progress on clearing Bed 38 by removing the self planted evergreen oak. It had been hoped to get the new shrubs in this month but this will also now have to wait until the autumn. The regular jobs, Pump Room and other shrubbery pruning, litter picking and underpass sweeping, were also carried out. We hope things have not got too out of hand before we can get going again!
