The 5-course menu included a pigeon dish to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the discovery of spa waters in Cheltenham, alongside some of the Cafe’s other special dishes. Guests were also treated to a reading of a dramatic interlude entitled The Spirit of Cheltenham, first performed at the Tercentenary Civic Dinner at Pittville Pump Room on 3 November. Friends of Pittville are the East India Cafe’s local charity and at the end of the meal the owners presented the Chairman of the Friends with a cheque for £175 as a donation towards our funds.
