Cafe to open at the Pump Room on 22 June

Something to look forward to!

A pop-up cafe will open in the portico of the Pump Room from 1000 on Monday 22 June. It will serve takeaway coffee, cakes, brunch, light lunches, cream teas and icecream. From 4 July tables and chairs will be available nearby for customers and will be cleaned between each customer. Social distancing will be observed at all times. Events are being planned, some featuring live music.

Yellow tabards will be back at work!

The FoP Green Space volunteers now have permission to start work again. They will work in socially distancing groups of no more than 6, and their first day will be Tuesday 9 June at the Scout Hut, starting at 0915 with a safety briefing. The priority tasks include dealing with the abundant growth of weeds on the rockery and bed 38. Of course unofficial litter picking has been going on throughout the lockdown, as part of volunteers taking their daily exercise. This has helped keep the Park looking so good.

Pump Room redecoration

Following storm damage to the roof earlier on the year, the opportunity presented by the current Pump Room lockdown closure is being taken to carry out repairs and redecoration to the ceiling of the West Room upstairs and the main hall downstairs.
