Pittville Park is judged biannually for these two internationally recognised awards and this took place on 1 May this year. The Green Flag Award Scheme recognises and rewards well-managed parks, setting a benchmark standard of recreational outdoor spaces. There are 27 criteria on which the park is judged.
The Green Heritage Site Accreditation award is judged on the condition, use and enjoyment of the historic features and how the character and appearance are maintained. We were pleased to be able to show the judges the newly reinstated steps in front of the Pump Room.
Pittville Park has had both awards since 2016 and we are hopeful and fairly confident the park will retain these awards for another two years.
