We have learned a lot since our inception. With the experience gleaned from our Green Space Volunteers who have been working in Pittville Park for many years, and our History Works team that has been researching the history of Pittville since 2014 we have been able to carefully create and curate a number of guides, activities and learning resources. We hope they will enable you to be enjoy, appreciate understand Pittville’s local environment and the flora and fauna it supports.

Tree Walks
A walk around the lawn to the south of the Pump Room to look at 6 common trees with pictures of the tree shape, bark, leaf and fruit/flowers. Suitable for 3 – 5 year olds.
A similar walk to 1A around the lawn to the south of the Pump Room but with additional information. Suitable for slightly older children.
A walk around the area between the south lake and Central Cross Cafe looking at 9 trees from around the world.

Arts & Crafts
Make leaf art in the park, collect fallen leaves and use them for a range of projects in the classroom or at home.
