Our thanks go to Oggy Boytchev and Julian Tooke who hosted FoP members at their home on Pittville Lawn in mid June. The weather was not as kind to us this year, so we gathered indoors. We set up three cheese stations, with a choice of cheeses from the West Country, Wales and Europe, and our hosts generously donated all the wine. Steve Blake gave a fascinating talk on the rise and fall of the local nineteenth-century Pittville architect John Forbes. This was followed by the musical pairing of Guy and Cathy Mansfield-Smith, entertaining us with well-known songs that many of us recognised from our past! It was an evening of good fun, and we raised over £850 towards our park projects funding.
