Friends of Pittville volunteers had intended to plant up Bed 38 (the one at the corner of Evesham and Wellington Roads) this spring but the lockdown intervened. As it happened nature helped out in the meantime by providing a lovely display of poppies. The photo was taken by Kathy James.

Something to look forward to! A pop-up cafe will open in the portico of the Pump Room from 1000 on Monday 22 June. The FoP Green Space volunteers now have permission to start work again. They will work in socially distancing groups of no more than 6, and their first day will be Tuesday 9 June at the Scout Hut, starting at 0915 with a safety briefing. Following storm damage to the roof earlier on the year, the opportunity presented by the current Pump Room lockdown closure is being taken to carry out repairs and redecoration to the ceiling of the West Room upstairs and the main hall downstairs.
