Cheltenham Cobras Volleyball Club

I noticed there have been regular volleyball sessions in the park over the last few months so I stopped and asked Andrea, one of the organisers, more about it.

At Cheltenham Cobras Volleyball Club, we are active all year round in the local volleyball scene. We are a friendly and inclusive club, where we care about having fun in a team sport and developing players.

Our 30 members span all ages (over 16) and abilities,  some playing socially and with two competitive teams in Gloucestershire Volleyball Association League (men’s division) and the Bristol & District Volleyball Association League (mixed division). One of our ambitions next year is to develop a women’s team for future competitive seasons. In the summer months, you can find us on Pittville Lawn every rain-free Monday evening, doing casual game play until the sun goes down. We also try and fit in a couple of weekend tournaments around the region. Our indoor training schedule runs every Wednesday evening for all abilities, and starting in September additional training sessions will be put on for the competitive teams on Sundays, ready for the leagues. It’s a busy season, running from October to late spring.

Our coach has over ten years’ experience and all members support each other, creating a good atmosphere for people returning to the sport or beginners trying something new. Please send any questions and enquiries to our contacts and social channels below:
