New path in the west park

We were delighted to receive news from Wayne Sedgwick, the Senior Ranger with the Green Space Team at CBC, that work is due to start immediately on a new path in the park. It will be of compacted stone and will start from the junction of Albemarle Gate and Tommy Taylors Lane adjacent to the bus stop, and run south for approximately 235 metres to connect with the existing lower tarmac path. The new path will continue on the other side of the tarmac path for a further 70 metres, merging with the circular tarmac path surrounding the lake. CBC will also be looking to raise an area (that lies damp in the winter) south of the central lake bridge and over the path. This will  include a path running south toward but finishing 30m before the badger area.  The total approximate length is 305 metres and the ‘what 3 words’ location is here: w3w.co/horns.cloud.food
